• Interested in understanding the mechanism of stone formation and trying to find out agents that prevent recurrence of calcium oxalate stones. Homeopathic preparations of Berberis vulgaris have been found to be effective in mitigating the initial events of stone formation.
• Exploring the role of polyphenol in modulating the process of senescence by influencing macrophage infiltration, oxidation of LDL and redox status of the cell
• Understanding the role of paraoxonase in modifying the risk of atherogenesis in diabetic people.

Isaac Golden. Ph.D, D.Hom., N.D., B.Ec (Hon), has been a homoeopathic practitioner since 1984, and teaching since 1988. He founded the Australasian College of Hahnemannian Homoeopathy in 1990, which offers distance education courses in homoeopathic and natural medicine. Isaac is a regular contributor to local and international academic journals, and is the author of eleven books on homoeopathy. He has lectured in 8 countries. He is a world authority on homoeoprophylaxis - the use of homoeopathic medicines for specific infectious disease prevention - and was the first person to be awarded a PhD from a mainstream Australian University for research on a homoeopathic topic. In 2013 he was appointed as Honorary Research Fellow, Faculty of Science, Federation University, Ballarat, Australia. He is presently undertaking a range of research projects in conjunction with BU academics. Isaac was President of the Victorian branch of the Australian Homoeopathic Association - Australia’s largest national organization of professional homoeopaths - from 1992 to 1998. In March 1999 he was awarded the Association’s Distinguished Service Award for his “many years of service to the Australian Homoeopathic Association and for his significant contributions to the homoeopathic profession in Australia." He was appointed by the Government of Ontario as Professional Council member of the Transitional Council of College of Homeopaths of Ontario from 2009-2015 where he finally led the Council as President to the proclamation of Homeopathic Act 2007 with the formation of College of Homeopaths of Ontario on 1 April, 2015 regulating the profession of Homeopathy in Ontario. As the immediate Past President he currently sits on the Council of the COH. He has authored various Homeopathic Journals and books in Homeopathy including his fast selling text book in homeopathy, "North America's #1 Homeopathic Guide to Natural Health - A complete Handbook on Homeopathic Prescribing".
